Engineered Hardward
- A simple sweep, dust mop or light vacuum is typically all that is needed. Always avoid excessive moisture when cleaning to ensure your Fuzion engineered hardwood floor continues to look and perform its best. We highly recommend using manufacturer-recommended cleaners such as Fuzclean Wood floor cleaner. When in doubt, speaking with a Fuzion flooring retailer is always wise for clarification.
- Excessive moisture can lead to a wide variety of unwanted changes in your floor such as cupping, gapping or even cracking. It is highly recommended that you do not use water when cleaning your floors and follow the manufacturer-recommended methods (in this case, it’s us!). Should a spill occur, it is wise to soak it up immediately to avoid any structural damage.
- It is wise to perform a regular cleaning routine, install floor protectors on the bottom of furniture (eg: chair legs) as well as placing throw rugs or carpet runners in high traffic areas throughout your home. DO NOT drag or pull furniture and other heavy items across your floor.
- Although our products are all UV cured, light colours will show more discolouration than dark stained floors. It is important to understand that specific species such as; American Cherry, Brazilian Cherry and other Exotics will be affected more noticeably than others. Any covered areas should be moved periodically in order to assist in blocking the sun light from shining directly on the floor. Never expose your floor to direct sunlight as this may adversely damage and /or bleach your floor. Finally, always use proper window light filtering window coverings.
- When the furnace or other heating systems are off (usually later spring/summer and early fall) we strongly recommend the use of a dehumidifier. Not protecting your floor from excessive humidity could result in expansion and thereby cause damage to your floor. When the furnace or other heating systems are on (usually in late fall, winter and early spring) we strongly recommend the use of a humidifier system. It will not only protect your health, a humidifier system will also provide moisture in the air to help the possible problem of shrinking (cracks between the boards or other damage to your floor).
Luxury Vinyl
- Although luxury vinyl is quite scratch resistant, always keep your surface free of any debris, small stones or other undesirables that can get dragged across your floor. When moving heavy furniture, protect your floor with runner boards or dollies. Felt pads are also strongly recommended under furniture, tables, chairs, to prevent scratches etc. Place walk off mats at doorways and keep your pet’s nails well trimmed.
- Proper cleaning methods are an essential part of keeping your Fuzion luxury vinyl attractive and to increase its overall longevity. Prior to cleaning, allow the floor to bond to the subfloor for 48 hours (if glued down) Simply, dry sweep or vacuum the floor before wet cleaning to ensure that dirt and grit is removed. Using FuzClean vinyl cleaner, spray mist on a small section of the floor and wipe off floor section using micro-fibre mop pad. Ensure your mop pad is clean by rinsing or replacing. For stubborn spots, or sticky spills, spray cleaner directly onto the spot and let it work its magic for a few minutes. Scrub the spot in question with a terry cloth/cleaning pad and you’re done!
- Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, steam cleaners or any type of buffing or polishing machine. Oil or petroleum-based products can result in surface staining. Do not track asphalt-driveway sealer or automobile oil drips onto the vinyl floor covering. Do NOT use vacuums that use a beater bar or turn the beater bar off. Fuzclean luxury vinyl cleaner along with a microfiber dry mop is proven to be the best option.

Carpet Tile
- Cleaning is paramount to the life and appearance of your carpet tile investment whether you are in a home, office or commercial facility. Properly carried out maintenance adds to the overall life of your surface and protects your Fuzion carpet tile warranty. It’s best to vacuum your carpet at least twice a week. If you can’t vacuum your entire house, office or commercial space this often, at least vacuum the high traffic areas twice a week. If you want to extend the life of your carpet tile even further, it is recommended to have it professionally steam-cleaned at least once a year.
- Many carpet tile manufacturers suggest using a hair dryer to dry the damp area. Simply pull up the soiled tile and rinse in water then apply a very small amount of mild hand dishwashing soap to the stain, work in and rinse clean.
- Carpet that is wet cleaned should dry in approximately 12 hours if done properly. Carpet that is professionally cleaned should not be wet long enough to mold.
- Fuzion Flooring warrants that this carpet will not wear (lose surface pile) more than 10% following installation of the carpet, provided that the carpet is properly installed and maintained indoors. This excludes carpet tile installed on stairs, areas subject to inappropriate chair casters, damage from skates, spiked shoes, sharp objects and abuse including damage from athletic shoes and abnormal activity. Fuzion Flooring warrants that our carpet tiles will not permanently stain from substances typically found in homes or offices during the listed warranty years following installation of the carpet, provided that the carpet is properly installed and maintained indoors according to CRI recommendations (See warranty details). This excludes willful damage including burns, water damage and reappearing (wicking) spots. In addition, substances that degrade or destroy the carpet fibers (i.e. drain cleaner, battery acid, etc.) are also not covered, so be careful!
